# ContinuityForge: project overview

ContinuityForge is a MoonBit prototype for business continuity analysis and resource-constrained task scheduling. It models services, components and dependencies; estimates incident impact; records recovery playbooks and drill evidence; and schedules recovery or CI pipeline tasks through one domain-independent core. The static Web workspace calls a compiled MoonBit ESM module for domain validation and scheduling. It does not operate production systems.

Tasks have integer durations, prerequisite edges and one exclusive resource each. Three deterministic scheduling baselines and a budgeted local search produce candidate schedules; a separate validator checks precedence and resource feasibility. The current optimizer is heuristic. Only small, fully enumerated cases have an optimality certificate. The checked-in benchmark uses synthetic fixed-seed data, and no production deployment or external user validation is claimed.

Start with the [Chinese README](../README.md) for installation, a runnable domain example and the Web demo. See the [architecture](architecture.md), [algorithm and mathematical model](algorithm-design.md), [reproducible benchmark](benchmark-report.md), [public evidence and validation limits](requirements-evidence.md), [scenario adapters](scenario-adapters.md), and [v1 Web JSON schema](../web/scenarios/schema.v1.json). The old recovery API remains available; the new scheduler is accessed through scenario adapters or the Web engine.
